A Mother

A Mother

By: Talya Langer

A quiet hand to hold,

a gentle voice that knows,

that just understands,

no explanations needed.

A love woven tight,

bound by blood and birth,

attached by chord, then the veins in each of our hearts,

linked from first breath to every tomorrow.

Every heartbeat holds her soul in its rhythm,

synchronizing with her breath,

our bond unbreakable.

In her arms,

a daughter finds

both home and wings.
